A holiday for those who enjoy walking, a journey through the landscapes and villages of the Val d’Orcia. A path that combines hiking and relaxation, to enjoy nature, hills and spa, good food, with snacks and tastings of traditional products, and art, thanks to the guided tours.

A stage of the pilgrimage a day to truly enjoy every detail of the Val d’Orcia and the most fascinating glimpses of its Via Francigena.
Departure from Siena, one of the most beautiful medieval towns of Italy. A real jewel in the heart of Tuscany, with the particular Piazza del Campo, where twice a year the famous horse race, the Palio of Siena, takes place.
The first stage of the journey will be Buonconvento, medieval village enclosed by its city-walls in the enchanting framework of the Crete Senesi.
The journey will continue towards San Quirico d’Orcia, not to be missed for its medieval castles and churches that make it one of the most picturesque places in the region.

The next day we will move in Bagno Vignoni. The small group of houses formed around the pool of thermal waters known since ancient times for their therapeutic uses. With its sunsets the place becomes magical and worthy of a fairy tale.

In the morning, we depart to reach Montalcino, home of the Brunello wine. The city, with its enchanting walls, stands high on a hill from which you can admire a breath-taking view of the Val d’Orcia.

The following day will be dedicated to Brunello wine tasting in a historic cellar of the countryside around Montalcino and to the visit with a local specialized guide of the beautiful Abbey of St. Antimo, where the alabaster creates unique light effects and where the perfect acoustics and Gregorian chant of the monks will make the experience unique for its mysticism.
We will return to Siena with private transport for the overnight stay and departure.

Each stage will be about 15 km walk.
